About Me

I’ve worked in the real estate world for about twenty years and have held all types of positions on the owner and service provider sides. I started as a property manager for a single, tiny, unanchored shopping center and worked my way to managing about 130MM SF of space for a large financial services company. Along the way I’ve met a lot of interesting people and learned a lot, sometimes the hard way. I am passionate about the positive impact that the workplace can have in peoples’ lives, especially when it comes to the area of sustainability. Buildings are by far the biggest culprit when it comes to impact on the environment and we all can take simple, free or inexpensive steps to make a real difference.

I’m also passionate about ideas. Sometimes I wonder if the real estate industry is open to the changes that are being made in nearly every other industry. The way we operate supports the way people work. The workers are changing and demanding more from us- flexible solutions, sustainable work environments, etc. – but we’re not all keeping up. The industry innovators will be able to make a lot of money from innovation and carve out a defensible niche.

Chances are, if you’re reading this page you’re one of those people. Welcome! I hope you’ll visit this site often and share your ideas and feedback.
